To me making a costume or small pieces that go with it is not about how often you will wear it or how expensive it was. It's the thrill of making it. Something about the tedious details like glitter lines or colored gems fills me with ecstasy. I don't feel discouraged by competition. The world always has room for more costumes and the appreciation for fantastic costume work seems universal.
With each piece I make I learn something new. A new way to not do something, a new effect with a brush or sponge, a new way to apply or remove glitter, there is nothing but learning and growing (and testing patience)

I've been accustomed to wearing costumes since I was 3 thanks to my background as a traditional Thai dancer and perhaps that was what sprouted my Love for the craft. Nevertheless the thrill of wearing a costume is something I could bask in for an eternity.
